C.I.A, (Character In Action):  For children in Kindergarten through 6th grade, C.I.A is an exciting, Bible-based ministry designed to instill Christ-like character in our youth.  The program is an hour and a half each Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30, and consists of three thirty-minute segments: Class time, Game time, and Bible time.

The main emphasis during the class time is upon teaching our young people Christian character traits from God’s Word. Each child has a handbook from which they learn and quote character trait definitions and corresponding Bible verses. As a result, they earn points toward team awards, c-money to be used in the c-store, and credit toward individual awards.
Game time is a time of fellowship and great fun for all the kids as they participate in an innumerable host of exciting games. There is a different theme for each week that usually corresponds with the games we play on that night. It has been said that anything we do while we are having fun sticks with us. This is one of the purposes for the game segment, along with reinforcing other important character qualities.

Bible time is a time of announcements, singing, crafts, and teaching from God’s Word. This is another opportunity to instill within our young people the character traits found within the Bible.

The theme for CIA – “Character In Action,” is taken from Matthew 5:16 and really summarizes the overall goal and purpose of this ministry.
